The Ezekiel File - Is it Coming to Pass?

The Ezekiel File - Is it Coming to Pass?

We have just returned from Israel. During our stay, Israeli troops pulled out of Lebanon, and are presently attempting to pull out of certain West Bank towns. It is now only a matter of months, when a Palestinian state will be formed within Israel. It appears this was written in the ancient prophecies of the Bible, over 2,500 years ago. It was Ezekiel who pierced the veil and foresaw a conflict between two nations in Israel:

"Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the Lord was there." Ezekiel 35:5

"I have heard all the blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given to us to consume." Ezekiel 35:10

"Because the enemy hast said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are our in possession ...they have made you desolate and swallowed you up on every side . . . you are taken up with the lips of talkers." Ezekiel 3b:2-3

1. Ezekiel states there will be two nations, or two countries, within the land of Israel. This may well be the nation of Israel and the new Palestinian nation.

2. Ezekiel says the real motive is to consume the Jewish people by swallowing them up on every side. Those who understand the radical element in the P.L.O. know that their final goal is to literally surround modern Israel and eventually outnumber the Jews, thus weakening them to the point of defeat.

3. Ezekiel says the enemies of Israel will lay claim to the "ancient high places." The high places are the area of Judea and Samaria. This area is also known as the "West Bank," and is the very area that Jordan (modern Moab) is seeking back from Israel.

Notice that the Ezekiel prophecy is against Mount Seir. Mount Seir is Edom and Moab, which is present day Jordan. Jordan is seeking peace in order to gain the land lost in the 1967 war.

I discussed the difficulties of this new state with a number of my Palestinian friends, and their insight was interesting. Several (who wished not to be named), shared with me the conflicts that will arise when this new state is formed. Those living in the are now controlled by Israel, will loose their insurance, certain benefits, and some will even loose their jobs.

It must be remembered that Israelis absorbing over one million immigrants who need jobs. By forming the Palestinian state, many Palestinians could loose their jobs in Israel and the jobs will be taken over by the new immigrants. While this may be good for Israel it is not for the many Arab Christians who hold jobs in certain areas.

One friend pointed out, that it would be better to give the control of the West Bank back to the country of Jordan than to turn it over to the P.L.O.One reason is there has been a lot of corruption recently in the P.L.O. One reliable source told me that there is a power struggle going on already in the P.L.O., and with their leaders in charge the more radical elements are allowed to have certain power and influence in the new government.

Jordan, on the other hand, has been a distant friend to Israel for many years. The present king of Jordan, who took the reigns after his father's death, is considered a moderate leader and would be more protective of the borders of Israel, than let's say, many members of the Palestinian police.

For example, during our tour to Israel the city of Jericho was closed to tourists for four days. When we toured the city, the final day, we were told a policeman had thrown a fire bomb at a Jewish car and burned a small girl. Therefore, the Israeli police did not allow anyone to enter the city. It was closed until they could find who caused the problem. A friend from Jericho told me, "if this man is arrested and tried in a Palestinian court, this policeman will be arrested but after a small period of time, he will be released, because to some he was a hero by attacking a Jew."

In considering the possibility of Jordan eventually taking control of the West Bank, this would also include the Mount of Olives, and the Temple Mount Area. This MAY be why in Daniel's prophecy, the Antichrist does not take over Edom, Moab and the children of Ammon (today the country of Jordan), because Jordan will simply hand the territory over to this man, if he will refrain from attacking Jordan.

It will be interesting to see how this matter will play out, beginning this winter. We must remember that, before the war of Ezekiel 38 and 39, there is a time of "peace and security" in the land of Israel. While we would say this is sort of the condition of Israel at the present, we must also realize that Israel is attempting to make peace with some long time enemies.

We think that the announcement of the PLO State might be made by the antichrist himself, and thus it is our conclusion that the forming of this PLO State could be a Tribulation event.

There has been a prophetic lull in many parts of the world. But get ready, we are in the beginning of the third day, things are accelerating.

It is going to get very interesting!
